About the role#
Auto-Owners Insurance is hiring a Corporate Real Estate Intern for Summer 2027. This part-time, paid position is based on-site in Lansing, Michigan. You will support the real estate division by handling property management tasks and coordinating maintenance activities.
What you'll do#
- Manage commercial leases, operating costs, and related correspondence.
- Analyze property management issues and review incoming proposals.
- Process invoices and coordinate service or maintenance work.
- Communicate with branch associates, contractors, and management to facilitate repairs and routine maintenance.
- Collaborate with other departments, including facilities, security, and contract management.
- Assist with non-construction projects within the real estate division.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a college student entering your junior or senior year.
- A major in finance, real estate, or facilities management is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A general understanding of building management and the ability to read floor plans.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel, plus the ability to learn new software tools.
- The capacity to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
