About the role#
Auto-Owners Insurance is hiring a Claims Representative Intern for Summer 2027. You will join our team in Pittsburgh to gain hands-on experience in the insurance industry. This is a full-time, paid internship.
What you'll do#
- Investigate claims and gather facts to determine policy coverage.
- Evaluate the total amount of loss and analyze legal liability.
- Study insurance policies, endorsements, and forms to build your technical knowledge.
- Help resolve claims, which may include attending arbitrations, mediations, depositions, or trials.
- Process payments to ensure they are accurate and timely.
- Communicate with agents, policyholders, and other parties via phone, mail, and on-site visits.
What you'll need#
- You are currently enrolled in college and entering your junior or senior year.
- You are pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Economics, or Finance.
- You have strong written and verbal communication skills.
- You can handle multiple assignments at once.
- You have an eye for detail and can resolve complex issues.
- You are able to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
