About the role#
This is a paid, full-time summer internship for the 2027 season. You will join our claims team to learn how we evaluate losses and support our policyholders. You will work on-site in Akron, Ohio.
What you'll do#
- Investigate claims by gathering facts and determining policy coverage.
- Evaluate the amount of loss and analyze legal liability to pay or deny claims.
- Study insurance policies, endorsements, and forms to build your technical knowledge.
- Help resolve claims, which may include attending arbitrations, mediations, depositions, or trials.
- Ensure claims payments are accurate and sent on time.
- Handle investigations through phone calls, mail, and on-site visits.
- Assist agents and policyholders with their needs.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in college, entering your junior or senior year.
- Preferred majors include Business Administration, Finance, or Economics.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to organize and interpret data to resolve complex issues.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments at once.
- Attention to detail.
- Must be able to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
