About the role#
We are hiring a Claims Representative Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a paid, part-time position based on-site in Marion, Indiana. You will work directly with our claims team to support our agents and policyholders.
What you'll do#
- Investigate claims and assemble facts through phone, mail, and on-site visits.
- Determine policy coverage and analyze legal liability.
- Evaluate the amount of loss and manage the payment or denial process.
- Study insurance policies, endorsements, and forms to build your technical knowledge.
- Help resolve claims, which may include attending arbitrations, mediations, depositions, or trials.
- Ensure all claim payments are accurate and issued on time.
- Communicate with agents and policyholders to address their needs.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in college, entering your junior or senior year.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to organize data and resolve complex issues.
- A detail-oriented approach to your work.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments at once.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
