About the role#
Auto-Owners Insurance is seeking a Claims Representative Intern for the summer of 2027. This part-time, paid internship is based on-site in Draper, Utah. You will work with our team to help individuals and businesses recover after a loss.
What you'll do#
- Investigate claims by phone, mail, and on-site visits.
- Assemble facts, determine policy coverage, and evaluate the amount of loss.
- Analyze legal liability to pay or deny losses.
- Issue claim payments in an accurate and timely manner.
- Study insurance policies, endorsements, and forms to build your knowledge.
- Assist agents, policyholders, and other parties.
- Attend arbitrations, mediations, depositions, or trials as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in college, entering your junior or senior year.
- Pursuit of a degree in Business Administration or Economics.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to organize data and resolve complex issues.
- Capability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship.
