About the role#
This is a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2027 based in Columbia, South Carolina. You will work on-site to learn how we manage insurance claims and support our policyholders.
What you'll do#
- Investigate claims and assemble the necessary facts.
- Determine policy coverage and evaluate the total amount of loss.
- Analyze legal liability to pay or deny claims.
- Study insurance policies, endorsements, and forms to build your knowledge.
- Work toward claim resolution, which may include attending mediations, arbitrations, depositions, or trials.
- Ensure that all payments are issued accurately and on time.
- Handle investigations through phone, mail, and on-site visits.
- Serve the needs of our agents and policyholders.
What you'll need#
- You are currently enrolled in college and entering your junior or senior year.
- You are pursuing a degree in Business Administration.
- You have above average written and verbal communication skills.
- You are detail oriented and capable of organizing and interpreting data.
- You have the ability to resolve complex issues and manage multiple assignments.
- You must be able to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
