About the role#
Auto-Owners Insurance is hiring a Claims Representative Intern for the Summer 2027 term in Saginaw, Michigan. This is a full-time, paid internship. You will gain experience in the insurance industry by working directly on claims resolution and policy analysis.
What you'll do#
- Investigate claims by phone, mail, and on-site visits.
- Gather facts to determine policy coverage and analyze legal liability.
- Evaluate the total amount of loss for each case.
- Work toward resolving claims and ensuring payments are accurate and timely.
- Study insurance policies, endorsements, and forms to build your technical knowledge.
- Assist with administrative needs for agents and policyholders.
- Attend legal proceedings such as depositions, trials, or mediations when necessary.
What you'll need#
- You must be a currently enrolled college student entering your junior or senior year.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
- You should be detail-oriented and able to organize and interpret data.
- Ability to resolve complex issues and manage multiple assignments at once.
- You must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

- This is a full-time internship for the Summer 2027 term.
- The pay rate for this position is $18.00 per hour.
