About the role#
We are looking for a Claims Representative Intern for the summer of 2027. This position offers a look into the insurance industry by helping individuals and businesses recover after a loss. You will work alongside our team to manage claims and support our policyholders.
What you'll do#
- Investigate claims by phone, mail, and on-site visits.
- Gather facts and analyze legal liability.
- Determine policy coverage and evaluate the amount of loss.
- Decide whether to pay or deny losses.
- Issue payments in an accurate and timely manner.
- Study insurance policies, forms, and endorsements to understand coverage.
- Help agents and policyholders with their needs.
- Attend arbitrations, mediations, depositions, or trials when necessary.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in college, entering your junior or senior year.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to organize and interpret data.
- Skill in resolving complex issues.
- A detail-oriented approach to your work.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments at once.
Location & details#
- This internship is located in Draper, UT and Boise, ID.
- The role is on-site.
- This is a part-time position.
- The pay rate starts at $22.00 per hour.
- You must be able to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
