About the role#
We are hiring an Accounting Co-op student for our Scarborough location. This is a full-time, paid position. You will work on-site at our facility, supporting our divisional accounting teams with daily financial operations and reporting.
What you'll do#
- Assist divisional accountants with general ledger tasks.
- Analyze accounts to support general ledger transactions, variance explanations, and reconciliations.
- Prepare financial reports for senior management.
- Provide support services to various divisional accounting teams.
- Handle bank runs, including transporting documents and cash handling, using a company vehicle.
- Participate in team meetings and complete other tasks as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a post-secondary accounting program.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- A valid driver's license in good standing.
- Excellent English communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Strong numeracy and analytical thinking skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively to meet deadlines and handle high volumes of work.
