About the role#
The Foundation Intern supports fundraising and donor engagement efforts for Atlanta Track Club. You will gain practical experience in nonprofit operations, donor relations, and CRM data management. This role involves working directly with fundraising participants, event partners, and donors. You will report to the Associate Director of the Foundation.
What you'll do#
- Support core fundraising initiatives, including the annual campaign and charity programs for major races, by managing logistics and donor outreach.
- Communicate with fundraising participants to provide guidance and help them meet their goals.
- Draft and prepare donor acknowledgment and thank-you letters.
- Maintain accurate donor and gift records through daily administration of the CRM platform.
- Assist with on-site logistics for fundraising events, including load-in and load-out tasks.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a degree program, preferably in Business Administration, Marketing, or Communications.
- A demonstrated interest in philanthropic and nonprofit work.
- A foundational understanding of fundraising and nonprofit development.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- The ability to lift up to 40 pounds for event logistics.
Location & details#
- This position is based on-site in Atlanta, Georgia.
- This is a paid, part-time internship requiring 10 to 20 hours per week.
- The role involves a one-year commitment.
- You must be available to work some evenings and weekends to support events.
