About the role#
AtkinsRéalis is seeking engineering students for a summer 2027 internship within our Hydroelectricity and Geotechnical division. This is a full-time, paid position where you will work alongside experienced professionals on large-scale engineering projects. You will gain hands-on experience in one of several specialized areas, including electrical systems, geotechnical analysis, civil structures, or mechanical systems for hydroelectric installations.
What you'll do#
- Participate in the design, testing, and support of electrical systems for hydroelectric facilities.
- Conduct soil condition assessments and contribute to the design of slopes, retaining structures, excavations, tunnels, and underground infrastructure.
- Assist in the design and execution of hydraulic infrastructure projects, such as dams, power plants, and water management systems.
- Contribute to the design, integration, and optimization of mechanical systems, including energy production equipment and HVAC systems.
- Support technical studies, prepare plans and specifications, and assist with construction and commissioning activities.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in civil, geotechnical, mechanical, or electrical engineering.
- Excellent command of French.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to solve problems in a creative and efficient manner.
- A valid driver's license may be required for certain assignments.

- This internship is based in Montréal or Jonquière, Quebec.
- Work is performed in a hybrid model.
- This is a full-time, paid position for the summer 2027 term.
