About the role#
We are looking for an Estimating Intern to join our team in Costa Mesa for the Summer 2027 term. This is a paid, on-site internship where you will assist with the financial and scheduling components of our engineering projects. You will work alongside project teams, clients, and contractors to support project execution.
What you'll do#
- Support the development and monitoring of project budgets, schedules, forecasts, risks, and performance metrics.
- Perform estimating, quantity takeoffs, cost analysis, and cash flow monitoring.
- Assist with invoice processing and financial tracking activities.
- Help produce project Master Schedules and conduct contractor schedule reviews.
- Analyze time extensions, manage changes, and monitor compliance.
- Maintain project records and databases to support team decision-making.
- Collaborate with project teams, consultants, and suppliers on project execution.
- Assist in the evaluation of change orders.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least 60 hours toward a degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Construction Engineering from an ABET accredited program by Summer 2027.
- Basic experience reading construction drawings.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Basic mathematical and analytical skills.
