About the role#
AtkinsRéalis is hiring a Data Scientist Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This position is located in Tempe, Arizona, and requires on-site attendance. You will support our team by developing data analytics, reporting, and visualization solutions for both internal and client-facing projects.
What you'll do#
- Collect, validate, transform, and integrate data from various sources including project controls, scheduling, cost, and operational systems.
- Build and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI, Smartsheet, and SharePoint.
- Support the configuration, testing, and deployment of digital solutions for project management and operational reporting.
- Analyze business processes to find opportunities for workflow improvements and reporting automation.
- Assist with AI-driven initiatives, including data preparation, prompt development, and testing of new technologies.
- Perform quality assurance activities to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
- Collaborate with technical managers, developers, and project teams to implement client solutions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, or Business Analytics.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with SQL, Python, Power BI, or other reporting and analytics platforms is preferred.
- Prior internship or project experience related to data analytics, business intelligence, or software development is a plus.
