About the role#
AtkinsRéalis is hiring a Resilience and Emergency Management Intern for our Atlanta office for Summer 2027. You will join a unit focused on disaster and resilience challenges, gaining hands-on experience by supporting public-sector projects. This is a paid, part-time, on-site position.
What you'll do#
- Support resilience, emergency management, disaster recovery, grant, and planning projects.
- Conduct research and analysis, including data compilation and technical summaries.
- Review, organize, and maintain grant applications, reimbursement requests, plans, and project documentation.
- Prepare project deliverables such as correspondence, meeting summaries, presentations, maps, and reports.
- Maintain project information in datasets, dashboards, SharePoint sites, and databases.
- Perform quality assurance and quality control reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Collaborate with grants specialists, planners, engineers, project managers, and stakeholders.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least 60 credit hours toward a degree in Urban Planning, Public Health, Economics, or a related field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
- Familiarity with AI-enabled productivity tools like Microsoft Copilot.
- Ability to learn SharePoint and other project systems.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experience with spreadsheets, data entry, document review, and managing multiple assignments with attention to detail.
