About the role#
AtkinsRéalis is looking for an Aviation Engineering Intern to join our Houston team for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, on-site, paid internship. You will work alongside experienced engineers to gain hands-on experience and develop your technical skills through project assignments and focused training.
What you'll do#
- Participate in team meetings and present your notes or findings.
- Assist in the production of engineering drawings for airport infrastructure, such as runways, taxiways, aprons, and parking lots.
- Research project site conditions and regulatory agency specifications.
- Perform field observations of construction projects.
- Receive coaching and mentorship to support your professional growth.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least 60 credit hours toward a civil engineering degree from an ABET accredited program.
- Ability to perform math for simple calculations.
- A strong willingness to learn.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation is preferred but not required.
