About the role#
As a Technical Project Management Intern, you will support programs from concept to completion. This role involves working on projects ranging from small research efforts to full multi-spacecraft missions. You will help ensure program success and timely delivery through schedule management, risk tracking, and stakeholder coordination. This is a full-time, paid internship lasting twelve weeks.
What you'll do#
- Manage risk processes by tracking burndown plans and coordinating risk closure approvals.
- Encourage the generation of necessary risk documentation.
- Facilitate headcount tracking and forecasting.
- Plan and organize internal program reviews, including tracking schedules, risks, and key requirements.
- Work alongside engineers to build schedules for specific subsystems and hardware components.
What you'll need#
- A B.S. in Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or an equivalent technical degree.
- Strong communication skills for both internal and external interactions.
- Organizational skills to coordinate across different groups and project tracks.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and set priorities.
- Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, including pivot tables, formulas, and V-lookups.
- Familiarity with Smartsheet, Jira, and Confluence.
- Experience with space systems or hardware is a plus.
- Leadership experience in technical projects, clubs, or university programs is preferred.

- Compensation: $29.00 per hour.
