About the role#
Astranis is looking for a Software Developer Intern to join our network software team for the Winter 2027 term. This is a full-time, hourly position based in San Francisco. You will work on satellite network management software, helping us build and manage network infrastructure for our satellites and ground stations.
What you'll do#
- Design and implement UI components and back-end workflows for network management software.
- Partner with network operations teams to build tools that manage satellite and ground networks.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to define software requirements, architecture, and design.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a B.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical degree.
- Experience with Django or similar web frameworks.
- Experience working with relational or SQL databases like Postgres.
- Ability to prototype and develop user interface concepts with a focus on user experience.
- Demonstrated ability to design, write, and test software from scratch.
- Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or other protected individual to comply with export regulations.
