About the role#
Astranis is looking for an RF Validation Intern for the Winter 2027 term. This is a full-time, on-site role based in San Francisco. You will work on design validation and measurement automation for RF hardware used in our satellite systems.
What you'll do#
- Measure and validate the performance of components including LNAs, power amplifiers, up/down converters, filters, and oscillators.
- Write code to automate and speed up measurement processes.
- Document test plans, measurement methodologies, and data for team review.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's Degree program in electrical engineering, computer engineering, applied physics, or a related field.
- Deep knowledge of RF concepts such as transmission lines, S-parameters, and RF building blocks like mixers and attenuators.
- Experience taking RF measurements using spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and network analyzers.
- Proficiency in Python and object oriented programming.
- A strong interest in hardware development.
- Bonus points for experience with Software Defined Radios, antenna and electromagnetics propagation, or automating RF measurements.
