About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for the Summer 2027 term. You will work on-site at our headquarters in San Francisco. This role is intended for students currently enrolled in a four-year university program.
What you'll do#
- Design, analyze, build, and test propulsion system hardware.
- Collaborate on interdisciplinary projects with other teams to support Propulsion and company initiatives.
- Apply your academic knowledge to real-world engineering situations.
- Develop team skills to support your professional growth.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
- Understanding of spacecraft systems and operation.
- Demonstrated ability to personally design, build, and test hardware from scratch.
- Familiarity with spacecraft design, specifically chemical or electrical propulsion, is a plus.
- Experience with Python and prior test experience with spacecraft propulsion systems are also beneficial.
- U.S. Citizenship, Lawful Permanent Residency, or Refugee/Asylee status is required to comply with export regulations.
