About the role#
Astranis is hiring a Hardware Test Intern for the Winter 2027 term. This is a full-time, hourly role based on-site in San Francisco. Internships typically last for twelve weeks.
What you'll do#
You will work with the engineering team to design, write, and test software. This includes embedded software for satellites and various ground control and testing software. You will have the opportunity to work on challenging projects alongside our engineers.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent technical degree.
- Experience with Python, C++, and scripting languages.
- Demonstrated ability to design, write, and test software from scratch.
- U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, or refugee/asylee status is required to comply with U.S. Government space technology export regulations.
Bonus points if you have experience with embedded systems on bare metal, real-time operating systems, or FPGA/DSP programming. If you do not meet every qualification, we still encourage you to apply.
