About the role#
This internship is a twelve-week, full-time position for students currently enrolled at a four-year university. You will join our team in San Francisco to support the design, construction, and testing of antenna systems for our satellite payloads.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with mechanical, thermal, and payload system engineers to build antenna systems.
- Use design tools to create high-performance communications antenna systems.
- Coordinate with vendors to design and procure RF components.
- Run anechoic chamber testing to validate component performance.
- Work across technical disciplines to co-design antenna components.
What you'll need#
- A fundamental understanding of electromagnetics, antenna basics, impedance matching, transmission lines, and circuit matching.
- Practical experience using vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and signal sources.
- Proficiency with design tools such as CST, HFSS, or TICRA.
- Ability to script solutions for engineering problems using Python or Matlab.
- A creative approach to solving engineering challenges.

- Compensation: $29.00 per hour.
