About the role#
The ASUCLA Marketing Department is looking for a student to assist with design and production tasks. You will work with the Graphic Designer Manager to create promotional campaigns for print and digital media, retail displays, and logos. This role requires following established brand identity guidelines to ensure consistency across multiple ASUCLA brands.
What you'll do#
- Design promotional campaigns, retail displays, and logos.
- Collaborate with team members on various design projects.
- Concept, prepare, and assist during on-site photoshoots.
- Complete production work on physical deliverables, such as trimming, printing, mounting, and signage installation.
- Manage project timelines and communicate status updates to your supervisor.
- Develop and maintain production techniques and systems.
- Assist with apparel management and general office organization.
What you'll need#
- Must be a currently registered UCLA student.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
- A portfolio of past work is required for consideration.
- Ability to walk for long periods and carry up to 25 pounds.
- A Graphic Design major is preferred.
- Experience with other Adobe Creative Suite programs like After Effects is a plus.
- Skills in illustration or conceptualization are a plus.
Location & details#
- This position is located in Los Angeles, California.
- Work is on-site.
- This is a part-time role offering 8 to 16 hours per week.
- Hours are generally Monday through Thursday from 9am to 5pm and Friday from 9am to 4pm, based on availability and workload.
- Employment is contingent upon a background check and Live Scan monitoring.
