About the role#
Associated Students UCLA is looking for a Student Video Assistant to join the marketing department. This position involves managing all stages of video production, from initial filming to final distribution. You will work 12-15 hours per week between Monday and Friday.
What you'll do#
- Create, shoot, and edit original video content.
- Manage the full production lifecycle, including importing footage and adding graphics and audio.
- Upload finished videos to the organization's YouTube channel and social media pages.
- Use Adobe Creative Suite to produce high-quality media.
- Perform basic photo retouching and resizing using Photoshop tools like the clone stamp and pen tool.
What you'll need#
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere and After Effects.
- Experience with DSLR cameras and iPhone videography.
- Basic Photoshop skills for image editing.
- Ability to follow direction and work as a self-motivated editor.
- A 30-60 second video reel or showcase of your previous work.
- Familiarity with Canva, CapCut, Adobe Audition, or Illustrator is a plus.

- Modality: On-site.
- Pay: $21.40 per hour.
- Schedule: 12-15 hours per week, Monday-Thursday (8am-4pm) and Friday (8am-3pm).
