About the role#
Ascend is seeking a detail-oriented Tax Intern to support our tax professionals in San Jose. This internship provides hands-on experience in tax preparation, compliance, and planning. You will work on meaningful projects and gain industry insights while receiving mentorship from experienced staff.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns (1040/1041) and compile supporting documentation for filings.
- Conduct research on tax regulations and assist in applying findings to specific client situations.
- Support the tax team with various projects and administrative tasks.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and tax regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and Adobe PDF.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work a minimum of 25 hours per week.
