About the role#
This is a paid internship program designed to provide a practical introduction to public accounting. You will work alongside staff and partners to gain a firsthand look at how an accounting firm supports its clients. A dedicated Team Leader will guide you as you build your professional foundation and bridge the gap between your classroom studies and a career in the field.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the preparation of individual and business income tax returns, including interacting with client personnel.
- Make adjusting entries and complete trial balances to support tax return preparation.
- Support the preparation of payroll returns and related forms.
- Conduct research projects to sharpen your technical thinking.
- Support administrative staff with tasks as needed by the firm.
- Use the firm's technology stack, including AI tools, to perform work efficiently.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a focus on Excel.
- Clear communication skills, motivation, and curiosity.
- Comfort learning new technology and applying AI tools with confidence.
- A genuine interest in the business world beyond the classroom.
