About the role#
The Global Risk Management and Compliance department at Arthrex is looking for a law student to support the Global Compliance Investigations team. You will work from our headquarters in Naples, Florida, during the summer of 2027. This position offers exposure to the elements of an effective compliance program and the specific risks within the medical device industry. You will be supervised by attorneys while collaborating with specialized compliance professionals on various initiatives.
What you'll do#
- Conduct legal research on regulatory requirements, statutes, and case law.
- Perform document reviews for internal investigations, compliance matters, and agency audits.
- Assist with third-party compliance by reviewing due diligence reports and assessing risk.
- Support compliance audits through document collection and analysis.
- Draft policies, procedures, training materials, and legal memoranda.
- Track regulatory developments and write educational summaries for the department.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Juris Doctorate program as a second-year law student (2L).
- Recent graduates are eligible if within six months of their graduation date.
- Strong writing and communication skills.
- Ability to conduct research and follow written or verbal instructions.
- Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
- Experience or interest in healthcare compliance is preferred.
- Law review or legal journal experience is preferred.

- Modality: On-site, 40 hours per week.
