About the role#
The Supplier Quality team at the Ave Maria facility is looking for an Engineering Co-op to support supplier quality activities. You will work with engineering staff to investigate, disposition, and document supplier materials. This role focuses on improving the alignment between inspection requirements, tools, and methods used by Arthrex and our suppliers. This is a full-time, paid position running from January 2027 through June 2027.
What you'll do#
- Investigate, disposition, and document supplier materials.
- Perform root cause analysis, continuous improvement, and DMAIC projects.
- Communicate issues accurately and on time.
- Review parts on hold and create reports to help stakeholders release products.
- Develop strategies to reduce the number and age of open nonconformances.
- Assist with generating monthly metrics reports.
- Identify opportunities to gain efficiency in inspection processes.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a full-time student in an engineering degree program or graduation within the last six months.
- Junior standing or higher is preferred.
- Preferred majors include Mechanical, Biomedical, Chemical Engineering, or Materials Science/Engineering.
- Ability to work through technical issues and communicate effectively in writing and orally.
- Proficiency with PCs and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with statistical analysis, surgical instrumentation, and mechanical testing equipment is preferred.
- Familiarity with ProEngineer or other 3D modeling software is a plus.

- Location: Ave Maria, Florida.
- Term: Winter 2027 (January through June).
- Work Modality: On-site, 40 hours per week.
