About the role#
This co-op position supports the Design to Manufacturing Supplier Quality Engineering team in Naples, Florida. You will work between the design and supply chain departments to ensure externally manufactured products meet design and quality management system requirements. This role provides experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and external vendors.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the analysis and closure of vendor-caused nonconformance.
- Support new product initiatives by assisting with design transfer activities.
- Document final cleaning evidence and validate new and existing products.
- Review validation protocols to ensure vendors meet company requirements.
- Update and streamline cleaning process documentation.
- Develop a Production Evaluation Transfer process and form.
- Learn the Production Part Approval Process and implement document updates to streamline part approvals.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement necessary quality management system updates.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a full-time junior or higher in Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing, or Biomedical Engineering, or graduation within the last six months.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to solve technical issues.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Prior manufacturing knowledge, such as injection molding or machining, is preferred.
- Experience with medical devices is preferred.
- Experience with Minitab or similar statistical software is preferred.

- Location: Naples, FL.
- Term: Winter 2027 (January 2027 to June 2027).
- Work Modality: On-site, full-time (40 hours per week).
- This is a paid position.
