About the role#
This co-op position supports the Upper Extremity engineering team in Naples, Florida. You will assist with new product development, feasibility studies, and remediation projects. The role involves both design and documentation tasks, requiring you to communicate issues accurately and meet project deadlines.
What you'll do#
- Design and test prototypes.
- Support design control activities, including requirements management, risk management, and verification and validation.
- Create test protocols for verification and feasibility.
- Run, review, and print tolerance analysis.
- Assist with CAD design and modifications.
- Support engineering change management.
- Perform feasibility testing.
- Support or lead cadaveric lab work.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a full-time student pursuing a bachelor's degree in engineering, or recent graduation within the last six months.
- Junior standing or above is preferred.
- Studies in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering are preferred.
- Experience with SolidWorks CAD software is preferred.
- Familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite.
