    About the role#

    This co-op position supports the Radio Frequency Ablation (RFA) Engineering team in Naples, Florida. You will work on the research, design, testing, and manufacturing of medical devices. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to support new product development and manufacturing operations. The position is full-time, running from January 2027 through June 2027.

    What you'll do#

    • Develop and document product development activities for RF surgical probes and equipment.
    • Create CAD models for prototype designs and test fixturing.
    • Determine and execute test methods to evaluate product performance, failure modes, and root-cause analysis.
    • Participate in projects focused on new product development, production line enhancements, and process improvements.
    • Identify and recommend design and process improvements for manufacturing and evaluation.
    • Work with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and specifications.

    What you'll need#

    • Full-time enrollment in a bachelor's degree program in engineering or status as a recent engineering graduate within six months of graduation.
    • Preference for students studying Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to solve technical issues.
    • Preferred experience includes electromechanical systems, Solidworks, LabVIEW, and MATLAB.
    • Familiarity with statistical analysis tools like MiniTab is a plus.
    • Knowledge of surgical equipment and mechanical testing equipment is preferred.

    • Location: Naples, Florida.
    • Term: Winter 2027 (January 2027 to June 2027).
    • Modality: On-site, 40 hours per week.
    • Status: Paid internship.
