About the role#
This co-op position supports the Knee & Hip Arthroscopy Engineering team in Naples, Florida. You will gain experience in the research, design, testing, and development of medical devices. The role involves collaborating with project teams on new product development, product line extensions, and product enhancements.
What you'll do#
- Create and edit SolidWorks models and drawings.
- Draft necessary project documentation.
- Attend verification testing and validation labs to observe anatomy and product performance.
- Participate in training sessions, symposiums, and departmental meetings.
- Work alongside engineering staff to support product maintenance and development activities.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a full-time student in a mechanical or biomedical engineering bachelor program, or recent graduation within the last six months.
- Junior standing or above.
- Proficiency in CAD software, specifically SolidWorks.
- Ability to work through technical issues and communicate effectively in writing and speech.
- Familiarity with surgical equipment, instrumentation, and mechanical testing equipment.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.

- Location: Naples, Florida.
- Term: Winter 2027 (January 2027 to June 2027).
- Modality: On-site, 40 hours per week.
- This is a paid, full-time position.
