About the role#
This co-op position supports the Foot & Ankle and Trauma Engineering team in Naples, Florida. You will work on the design and development of orthopedic implants and instruments. The program runs from January 2027 through June 2027 and requires a full-time commitment of 40 hours per week on-site.
What you'll do#
- Determine necessary tests to evaluate product performance.
- Assist with CAD modeling, research, strength analysis, and failure analysis.
- Manage Design History Files (DHF) documentation and execute design ECOs within the PLM system.
- Coordinate the procurement of prototypes.
- Support cadaver lab activities and assist project team members with product enhancements and line extensions.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a full-time student in a Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering bachelor's program, or recent graduation within the last six months.
- Junior standing or higher is preferred.
- Required experience with CAD software, with preference for Creo or SolidWorks.
- Basic to intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
