About the role#
Arc is building electric marine technology to replace outdated powertrains. As an Electrical Integration Engineering Intern, you will join our team to support the design and implementation of integrated systems. This is a full-time, paid role based at our headquarters in Torrance, California, for the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Support the design and implementation of systems including wire harnesses, PDMs, and HV ESS.
- Build prototypes for vehicle, standalone, and HIL tests.
- Collaborate with other engineering teams and fellow interns to develop new solutions or improve existing ones.
- Maintain the electrical R&D space to ensure efficient operations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Master degree program in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Familiarity with electrical systems and basic vehicle wiring principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Physical ability to work in a production environment, including long periods of sitting or standing.
- Experience with projects like high-performance electric vehicles, solar cars, or Formula SAE is a plus.
- Knowledge of high-voltage systems and HV battery pack design.
- Familiarity with CAN communication, advanced control systems, and MATLAB Simulink.
- Enthusiasm for boating and clean energy.
