About the role#
We are hiring student workers for food service and catering roles at Tennessee Wesleyan University. This position is on-site and offers a chance to build skills in food preparation and customer service. We welcome students from various academic backgrounds, including Civil Engineering, Business Administration, Nutrition, Kinesiology, and Psychology.
What you'll do#
- Prepare food items using standardized recipes.
- Store food according to safety standards.
- Set up, break down, and sanitize workstations.
- Serve customers and keep food items stocked.
- Maintain a positive demeanor and ensure guest satisfaction.
- Follow company safety and sanitation policies.
What you'll need#
- Ability to obtain a food safety certification.
- Strong guest service skills.
- Previous food service experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods.
