About the role#
This is an 8-month co-op position within the Sales organization. You will collaborate with Sales Professionals, Finance, Operations, and Senior Leadership to provide data insights, reporting, and analytics. You will own deliverables end-to-end while receiving mentorship to develop your business acumen. This role requires flexibility to handle business ambiguity and the ability to translate complex datasets into clear decisions.
What you'll do#
- Modernize production ETL/ELT pipelines and build automated batch pipelines.
- Implement pipeline monitoring, observability, and schema optimization.
- Migrate legacy workflows into Apache Airflow and document job dependencies.
- Architect agentic workflows, RAG systems, and custom LLM applications.
- Build AI agents for data reconciliation and establish evaluation frameworks for AI systems.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis, statistical modeling, and feature engineering.
- Develop multi-factor scoring and tiering models.
- Create Tableau dashboards and prepare datasets for business teams.
- Contribute to data catalog and metadata management efforts.
- Write tested code, participate in code reviews, and present project milestones to stakeholders.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or Engineering, with plans to return to studies after the term.
- Strong proficiency in Python (pandas, NumPy) and SQL.
- Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and Snowflake.
- Hands-on experience building end-to-end data pipelines or applications.
- Familiarity with Git, software engineering design, and algorithms.
- Demonstrated AI literacy regarding LLMs and their failure modes.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
- Preferred experience includes Apache Airflow, dbt, LangChain, LlamaIndex, vector search, FastAPI, Docker, and Tableau.
