Supervisory Teller

About the role#

The Supervisory Teller oversees the daily operations of the Teller line at the Co-op City branch. This position balances hands-on transaction processing with leadership responsibilities, including staff development, operational oversight, and ensuring high-quality customer service. The role requires the ability to work weekends, extended hours, and occasionally travel to neighboring branch locations or for mandatory training.

What you'll do#

• Supervise daily Teller operations by delegating tasks, monitoring work assignments, and scheduling staff breaks.
• Provide technical guidance, training, and coaching to staff regarding customer service, regulatory procedures, and operational controls.
• Process a range of transactions, from routine deposits and withdrawals to advanced payments, while maintaining cash drawer accuracy.
• Identify and resolve customer service issues and troubleshoot complex problems, escalating to branch management when necessary.
• Promote bank products and services by identifying sales opportunities and referring customers to appropriate branch colleagues.
• Ensure compliance with all legal, corporate, and regulatory procedures to minimize risk and protect client assets.
• Act as a key security agent, including assisting with vault operations, ATM proof, and monthly cash audits.

What you'll need#

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 2 years of experience in a Teller position; previous supervisory experience is helpful.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to train and motivate team members.
• Proficiency in basic math and computer systems.
• Ability to multitask, maintain attention to detail, and exercise sound judgment with confidential information.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.

• Employment Type: Full-time.
• Compensation: $21.00/hr - $27.75/hr.
