About the role#
As a Quality Intern, you will gain hands-on experience supporting quality initiatives and plant operations. You will work with Quality and cross-functional teams to investigate production issues, identify root causes, and support corrective actions. This role allows you to apply your academic knowledge to real-world manufacturing challenges while developing skills in data analysis and project management.
What you'll do#
- Support the Quality team with daily activities, plant objectives, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist teams in investigating quality issues identified during production shifts.
- Follow up on quality concerns from previous shifts to ensure actions are completed.
- Identify, document, and communicate actual or potential quality issues.
- Support root-cause investigations and corrective action activities.
- Track assigned tasks and projects to ensure timely completion.
- Communicate project status to Quality and cross-functional team members.
- Assist with data collection, analysis, reporting, and documentation related to quality performance.
- Participate in team meetings and quality improvement activities.
- Support additional plant-specific quality projects and assignments.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in an accredited university with at least one year of progress toward a bachelor degree.
- Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and follow-through skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs.
- Comfortable working collaboratively in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
