About the role#
Anderson Communities is hiring Accounting Interns to support our team in Lexington. This is a part-time, paid position for students currently pursuing a degree in Accounting or Finance. You will gain hands-on experience by assisting our department with daily tasks and standard accounting processes.
What you'll do#
- Pull monthly reports and review data.
- Handle scanning and data entry in our accounting software.
- Help the team create monthly invoices.
- Enter monthly journal entries.
- Provide coverage for the front desk when needed.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Knowledge of accounting software, with QuickBooks experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
- Availability of 20 to 25 hours per week, with shifts of at least four hours. We prefer candidates available on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
- A valid driver's license.
- Ability to maintain a clear appearance and remain drug-free and felony-free.
