About the role#
The Legal Intern supports the Legal Department by managing administrative tasks and compliance systems. This role helps the team run efficiently by maintaining accurate records and assisting with daily legal operations.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the administration of legal compliance systems including matter management, contract management, risk management, and record retention.
- Proofread various legal documents.
- Update and maintain files, contracts, and legal papers within the department document repository and databases.
- Provide support for the Legal Tracker Matter Management system, such as setting up new matters and uploading files.
- Provide general support for contract administration, litigation, regulatory compliance, and transactional matters.
What you'll need#
- A B.A. degree.
- Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Prior experience in a corporate legal department or a law firm is preferred.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship based on-site in Tampa, Florida.
- This position follows a rolling term schedule.
