About the role#
This internship provides a real-world environment for students to apply their academic knowledge to business operations. Over the course of the 10-week summer program, you will work with a mentor to gain experience in distribution center leadership and various business functions. You will be expected to report on your accomplishments and findings to the leadership team at the end of the summer.
What you'll do#
- Rotate through various departments to understand supply chain functions and business areas.
- Assist in analyzing and developing supply chain metrics and business processes.
- Plan daily and weekly workloads to meet business goals while managing a team.
- Lead work team meetings, such as pre-shift briefings and roundtables.
- Build relationships with hourly team members, peers, and senior leadership.
- Participate in training, development events, and mentorship programs.
- Foster an inclusive, safe, and secure work culture.
- Communicate project findings to management and team members.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program in Engineering, Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Organizational Leadership, or Business Management.
- Graduation within one year of the internship completion date.
- Proven leadership experience in academic or extracurricular projects.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to work effectively in an unstructured environment and make quick decisions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future.
Location & details#
- Location: Lockbourne, Ohio.
- Term: Summer 2027 (June 7, 2027 to August 13, 2027).
- Modality: On-site at our distribution center.
- Schedule: Full-time. You must be flexible to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends, to accommodate our 24/7 operations.
