About the role#
This 10-week summer internship at our Buford, Georgia distribution center provides a real-world environment to develop skills for future supply chain leadership. You will work alongside a mentor to gain experience in various business areas and distribution functions. At the end of the program, you will present your accomplishments and findings to the leadership team.
What you'll do#
- Gain experience across multiple supply chain functions and business areas.
- Build relationships with hourly team members, peers, and senior leadership.
- Analyze and develop supply chain metrics and business processes.
- Manage daily and weekly department workloads to support business priorities.
- Organize and facilitate team meetings, such as pre-shift huddles and roundtables.
- Develop communication and interpersonal skills to lead frontline workgroups.
- Participate in training, developmental opportunities, and program events.
- Foster a culture that is inclusive, diverse, safe, and secure.
- Adapt to 24/7 operations, which may include early mornings, evenings, or weekends.
- Manage projects and tasks with minimal supervision.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Engineering, Operations/Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Organizational Leadership & Supervision, or Business Management.
- Graduation with a bachelor’s degree within one year of internship completion.
- Proven leadership experience in academic or project settings.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in an unstructured environment and make quick decisions.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
- Effective coaching, presentation, and team-building skills.
- Ability to give and receive constructive feedback.
- Must not require sponsorship to work in the US now or in the future.
- Flexibility to relocate is a plus for future advancement.
