About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to apply academic knowledge in a professional environment while gaining hands-on experience within our IT team. You will work on real business initiatives, collaborate with team members, and contribute to projects that support our goals. This position is designed for students who are curious, motivated, and eager to learn in a collaborative environment.
What you'll do#
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, end users, and technical delivery teams.
- Gather, analyze, and document business, functional, and technical requirements.
- Translate business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, and backlog items.
- Partner with developers, architects, QA, and UX teams to design effective solutions.
- Assist with managing and prioritizing the product backlog based on business value and dependencies.
- Facilitate requirement-gathering sessions, stakeholder interviews, and workshops.
- Support solution design by clarifying workflows, integrations, and system impacts.
- Validate delivered features against requirements and support user acceptance testing.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
- Monitor delivery progress and communicate scope changes to stakeholders.
- Maintain key documentation including process flows, requirements, and release notes.
- Participate in team meetings and professional development activities.
- Present project outcomes and key learnings at the conclusion of the internship.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Analysis, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Rising sophomore, junior, or senior status is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of Agile, Scrum, product ownership, and business analysis concepts.
- Ability to translate business needs into structured requirements.
- Strong SQL skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Highly motivated with a strong desire to learn.
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Visio, or Excel is a plus.
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification is a plus.
- Must not require sponsorship to work in the United States now or in the future.
