About the role#
This internship provides hands-on research and educational experience within a health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) consulting environment. You will apply academic knowledge to real business initiatives and contribute to retrospective and prospective real-world evidence (RWE) projects across various disease areas. You will also interact with pharmaceutical and medical device companies.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to research projects involving costs, resource utilization, treatment patterns, effectiveness, and reimbursement policies.
- Manage and analyze large databases using SAS.
- Participate in research design and the development of research proposals.
- Identify and finalize ICD, HCPCS, and CPT codes for research engagements.
- Develop study reports and conference submissions.
- Address logistics and implementation issues for research studies.
- Support health outcomes strategy.
What you'll need#
- Graduate student currently working toward a PhD or equivalent degree in HEOR or a related discipline.
- Required experience in SAS programming.
- Preferred knowledge of SQL and a demonstrated record of scientific publication.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate complex research concepts effectively in written and verbal form.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Must not require sponsorship to work in the United States now or in the future.
