About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience with IT support and infrastructure tasks at our headquarters in Columbus, Ohio. You will work with the IT team to maintain systems and support our daily operations during the Fall 2026 term. This is a full-time, paid position that requires on-site attendance.
What you'll do#
- Monitor the IT support application, resolve tickets, and escalate complex issues to second-level support.
- Perform preventative maintenance to keep our networks running correctly.
- Image and deploy desktop and laptop computers.
- Assist with the acquisition and setup of new hardware, software, and services.
- Review system alerts and help fix identified security vulnerabilities.
- Maintain accurate hardware and software inventories.
- Coordinate with vendors to address failed hardware incidents.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment at an accredited college or university, with a focus on Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Cybersecurity.
- Experience with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office tools.
- Familiarity with Windows server operating systems.
- Ability to work effectively in a team or on your own.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Initiative and a willingness to learn quickly.
- Aptitude for basic PC and printer maintenance, software configuration, networking, and internet application deployment.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks at once.
