About the role#
This summer internship program offers undergraduate students the opportunity to apply their education to real-world business challenges. Interns work alongside teams across American Express to build professional relationships and contribute to strategic initiatives. Placements are aligned to specific business units, including project management, product management, and marketing, based on business needs and individual strengths.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to project proposals, identify next steps, and communicate with stakeholders to ensure alignment.
- Conduct data analysis, reporting, and research to support regulatory and governance initiatives, including tracking requirements and compliance activities.
- Support the growth and management of product portfolios by advancing initiatives that improve performance.
- Analyze business performance, customer insights, and market trends to inform product strategy.
- Assist in the development and management of marketing campaigns across various channels.
- Research market trends, customer behavior, and the competitive landscape to support strategic marketing decisions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program, with an expected graduation date between June 2028 and December 2030.
- Studies in Business, Marketing, or related fields.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to analyze and interpret data using standard office tools and an aptitude for learning new systems.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a solid work ethic.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects, prioritize tasks, and communicate effectively.
- A focus on innovation and the desire to own a project from conception to completion.
- Ability to challenge existing processes and improve them.
- Excellent relationship management skills and comfort working with various levels of an organization.
