About the role#
This internship program offers MBA students the chance to gain experience within the Finance organization at American Express. You will join one of several functional areas, such as Corporate Planning & Analysis, Global Commercial Services Finance, US Consumer Services Finance, Global Merchant and Network Finance, Controllership, or Global Treasury. This is a paid, full-time summer internship designed to provide exposure to strategic financial decision-making.
What you'll do#
- Execute project-based work to solve real business challenges for the organization.
- Analyze and manipulate large datasets to identify trends and generate insights.
- Develop actionable recommendations to drive business growth based on your financial analysis.
- Synthesize complex data into clear, understandable stories for various audiences.
- Perform core financial functions within your assigned team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a full-time MBA degree program.
- An expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- At least 2 years of prior relevant full-time work experience.
- Coursework or interest in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or Economics.
- Ability to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
