About the role#
We are looking for an engineering intern to join our Thermoforming Process Improvement Team. This role provides technical support for the department through projects matched to your technical skills. You will gain experience in a production environment while contributing to real-world process improvements.
What you'll do#
- Provide technical support to the Thermoforming Process Improvement Team on assigned projects.
- Keep project leaders updated on your progress.
- Follow all company Environmental Health and Safety and Department of Health requirements.
- Deliver a presentation at the end of your term to summarize your work and lessons learned.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in an ABET or ATME accredited engineering program and in good standing.
- High School Diploma.
- Basic understanding of 2D (AutoCAD) and 3D (SolidWorks) modeling software.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks at once.
- Ability to work independently and with others.
- Strong communication skills.
- Experience in STEM activities, such as robotics or mechanical hobbies, is preferred.
- Ability to meet physical requirements, including lifting up to 45 pounds regularly, working in heat or cold, and working at heights.
