About the role#
The AI Innovation Engineer Intern defines, designs, and builds AI-enabled products, applications, and intelligent workflows. You will work independently or within a small team to create solutions that deliver measurable business value. This role focuses on developing innovative AI while ensuring alignment with enterprise strategy, security standards, and responsible AI principles.
What you'll do#
- Lead the design, development, and prototype build of AI-enabled products and APIs.
- Integrate scalable AI solutions using Azure, Microsoft Fabric, LLMs, and orchestration frameworks.
- Define product requirements, user experiences, and experimentation methods.
- Implement security, governance, CI/CD, testing, and operational support practices.
- Collaborate with business, engineering, and data stakeholders to drive innovation and user engagement.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor’s degree in a related technical or business field.
- Previous experience in software engineering, data engineering, or a related technical role.
- Proficiency in C#, Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, React, APIs, and cloud architectures.
- Understanding of AI/ML concepts including LLMs, RAG, and embeddings.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Fabric, and Azure AI Foundry.
- Preferred majors include Computer Science, Data Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Industrial Engineering.
