About the role#
We are looking for a hands-on intern to build practical AI and automation tools. You will work onsite at our Addison headquarters to help our team save time by eliminating manual steps. This role is designed to be productive from day one, with clear projects and direction provided each week.
What you'll do#
- Build and improve workflows to remove manual tasks using tools like Zapier, Power Automate, or Make.
- Create connectors, triggers, and templates for team use.
- Develop lightweight internal assistants for drafting, summarizing, and lookups.
- Index internal SOPs and FAQs to support a pilot project.
- Track usage and time-saved metrics for your projects.
- Deliver 3 to 5 live tools, complete documentation, and an end-of-summer demo for leadership.
What you'll need#
- Rising junior or senior pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- Practical experience with automation platforms like Zapier, Power Automate, or Make.
- Basic Python skills, including experience with API calls, JSON, and simple scripts.
- Familiarity with OpenAI or Azure OpenAI.
- Strong documentation habits and a bias for action.

- This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2026.
- The role is based on-site in Addison, Illinois.
- The internship lasts 10 to 12 weeks.
- US work authorization is required.
