About the role#
As a Regulatory Engineer intern, you will help translate complex regulatory requirements into specialized models. Your work ensures our Regulatory Guardrails address specific vertical compliance needs while maintaining high accuracy. You will work closely with applied researchers and engineers to build systems that meet strict regulatory and policy standards.
What you'll do#
- Analyze candidate Regulatory Guards to prioritize requirements based on regulatory research, market direction, and customer feedback.
- Annotate data to evaluate and improve model performance.
- Perform stress testing on existing regulatory guards.
- Work with applied researchers to design and refine datasets for model optimization.
What you'll need#
- A Law Degree, Master in Law, LLM, or equivalent qualification.
- A proven academic path in AI or regulated industries like fintech or health.
- Proficiency in English.
- A strong interest in Large Language Models and AI Agents.
- A tech-curious and product-savvy mindset, with an ability to engage in technical conversations.
- Proactiveness and a strong sense of ownership.
- Strong communication skills to work across multidisciplinary teams.
- Bonus points for an LLM, Master, or PhD in Financial Law or the legal aspects of AI.
- Bonus points for experience with AI development processes, data annotation, or regulatory technology tools.
- Bonus points for proficiency in Spanish or French.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship.
- The role is available as remote or hybrid, with access to co-working spaces in New York.
- The position follows a rolling term.
